I have tried to make patterns and ropes using shredded newspaper. I wanted to engage with a new material, away from my discipline, to see new opportunities and to see what kind ideas can develop through physical making.
I gained interesting ideas through this experiment and it became a part of the Happening. Though it was unintended, the pile of shredded newspaper caught attention from the people and the idea of making a newspaper wig was suggested.
